Travel Assistance Program

Travel Assistance Program Update

Lotteries Yukon, in its efforts to continue offering a viable program, is making further changes to the Travel Assistance Program that will take effect December 2, 2019.

Changes to the Travel Assistance Program include eliminating the application process. This means that organizations will only be required to complete one submission within 30 calendar days of the end of the competition or adjudicated event.

Please note that information sessions are being held during October and November 2019 with Yukon Sport Governing Bodies (YSGB) and non-profits not associated with a YSGB to explain and discuss the administrative changes to the Travel Assistance Program for the 2019-2020 fiscal year and changes for the 2020-2021 fiscal year.

YSGB’s will be responsible for conveying program changes to all of their affiliates. However, if you require more information related to the program changes, you may contact Christy Westropp, Program/Policy Advisor at 633-7895 or by email

Changes to the Travel Assistance Program took effect April 1, 2019. For more information on these changes refer to the Travel Assistance Program – Questions and Answers

The Travel Assistance Program assists Yukon people with travel expenses to compete and/or participate in adjudicated events within and outside of Yukon. Intake is ongoing until the program is fully subscribed for the fiscal year.
