Travel Assistance Program

The Travel Assistance Program provides assistance to non-profit groups and extra-curricular high school groups attending competitions or adjudicated events in art, sport and recreation within Yukon or outside Yukon. Intake is ongoing until the program is fully subscribed for the fiscal year.

Under the program redesign pilot, new guidelines (and associated documents) for the Travel Assistance Program came into effect April 1, 2018. Changes to the TAP include an increase in the mileage rate from 10 ¢/km to 25 ¢/km, an expanded definition of ‘in Yukon’ travel and streamlined reporting requirements.

Recognition Requirements and Standards

Lotteries Yukon funds the arts, sport and recreation through their three funding programs (Recreational Projects Program, Travel Assistance Program and Community Lottery Program) and by sharing lottery profits with Yukon Government Sport and Recreation Branch and Cultural Services Branch. Recipients of funding supported by lottery ticket revenues are required to publicly acknowledge the funding support provided by Lotteries Yukon. Further information on these requirements is provided in:
