Travel Assistance Program

Travel Assistance Program Update

Lotteries Yukon is making changes to the Travel Assistance Program (TAP) that take effect Monday, December 2, 2019. These changes are being implemented on an incremental basis.

For travel between December 2, 2019 to March 31, 2020

A Submission Form will be required after travel has occurred. The Submission Form and supporting documents must be submitted within 30 calendar days after the end of the competition. The Submission Form will be available shortly.

For the 2020/21 Fiscal Year (April 1, 2020 – March 31, 2021)

Sport Governing Bodies (SGB) and non-profits where no SGB exists must submit a Travel Plan for competitions where they expect to utilize TAP funding from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021. The new process was discussed at information/feedback sessions held with Sport Governing Bodies during the month of November. Lotteries Yukon is following up with Sport Governing Bodies on the next steps for the 2020-2021 Travel Plan requirement.

A separate process for arts and extra-curricular high school group travel is underway.

As Yukon Sport Governing Bodies (YSGB) are responsible for their affiliate clubs - all contact with Lotteries Yukon regarding the Travel Assistance Program is through the Sport Governing Body responsible for the sport.
