Claiming your winning prize

Prizes up to and including $1,000

Where to claim:

Claims can be made at most lottery retailers. Winners should check with the retailer to ensure they have sufficient cash to pay the prize.

  • For security reasons, retailers may not have the funds available to pay the prize immediately, the player can take their ticket to another retailer (view a list of retailers to find one close to you) to claim their prize.
  • If the player is having difficulty finding a retailer with sufficient funds, they may contact the Lotteries Yukon office for assistance.

How to claim:

Bring your winning ticket with your name PRINTED on the front and completed information on the back.

Prizes over $1,000

Where to claim:

Contact Lotteries Yukon at (867) 633-7890 or 1-800-661-0555 to book an appointment; 

Visit the Lotteries Yukon office Monday-Thursday 9:00am-4:00pm where staff can assist with claiming your prize by sending your winning ticket(s) and required forms to WCLC; or

Claiming at an outside Prize Office:

  • Appointment Required: Prize offices are open by appointment only. To schedule, call your nearest office. You will need to have your ticket ready to answer some questions.

What is needed to claim:

Bring your winning ticket with your name PRINTED on the front and completed information on the back.

In order to claim a WCLC prize over $1,000 - $9,999.99, the player must:

  • complete and sign a Claim Form
  • complete a Customer Info Sheet and
  • provide at least one piece of government-issued photo ID.
  • provide banking information (Direct Deposit form or VOID cheque) 

Prizes of $10,000 or more

Where to claim:

Contact Lotteries Yukon at (867) 633-7890 or 1-800-661-0555 to book an appointment; 

Visit the Lotteries Yukon office Monday-Thursday 9:00am-4:00pm where staff can assist with claiming your prize by sending your winning ticket(s) and required forms to WCLC; or

Claiming at an outside Claim Office:

What is needed to claim:

If the prize is greater than $10,000, the player must:

Bring your winning ticket with your name PRINTED on the front and completed information on the back.

  • complete and sign a Claim Form
  • complete a Customer Info Sheet and
  • provide two piece of government-issued ID, one must be with photo.
  • provide banking information (Direct Deposit form or VOID cheque) for prizes up to $100,000.00
  • up to three photos of the player will be taken in the Lotteries Yukon office for promotional purposes, as per the release on the back of every WCLC lottery product.

What to do if there's a prize dispute

For players who are disputing a prize, or are having difficulty claiming a prize at a retail location, the staff at Lotteries Yukon can assist by reviewing the ticket, and if required forwarding it to WCLC for analysis and prize claim processing.
